Booking a Funeral Celebrant
Booking me as your funeral celebrant is a straightforward and supportive process, designed to ensure that everything is handled with care and efficiency.
How it works
- We have an initial conversation, with no pressure and no expectation.
- We spend time talking about your loved one, their life, their personality and what matters most to you.
- I write a ceremony from scratch and share the draft with you so you can review it.
- On the day, I lead the ceremony calmly and carefully, so you can focus on saying goodbye.
Initial Contact
The first step is to get in touch with me. You can reach out via phone, email, or my website contact form. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, providing you with the information and support you need. You can also ask your funeral director to book me on your behalf.
Consultation Meeting
Once we have made contact, we will arrange a consultation meeting at a time that suits you. This can be done in person, over the phone, or via video call. During this meeting, we will discuss your loved one’s life, your wishes for the ceremony, and any specific elements you would like to include. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to share your thoughts and ideas.
Planning the Ceremony
After the consultation, I will begin planning the ceremony. I will work closely with you and your funeral director to create a personalised and meaningful service that honours your loved one. This includes selecting readings, music, and any other special touches you wish to incorporate. I will keep you informed throughout the process and ensure that everything is in place for the day of the ceremony.
Timeframes
I understand that time is of the essence when planning a funeral and will work with your priorities to ensure your ceremony is crafted in good time. I will work closely with your funeral director and I will generally aim to have the ceremony planned and finalised within a week of our consultation meeting. However, I am flexible and can accommodate shorter timeframes when necessary.
Pricing
- Personalised ceremony including initial meeting, support, communication, liaison with Funeral Director: £250 + travel if beyond Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire
- Ashes Scattering or internment: £50 + travel
